Those with a passion for the fun side of life recently had the chance to attend a workshop about gay sex toys, and pleasurable devices for those of all sexual preferences.
According to the Harvard Crimson, sex educator and sexologist Megan Andelloux led the event, which was organised by Harvard College Queer Students and Allies (QSA) and was staged in the Adams Lower Common Room.
The night featured an array of sex toys for men, and women weren’t left out either.
According to Ez Cukor, fun information sessions like this help to educate people and make them more accepting of various forms of sexual behaviour.
On hand for people to see and get to grips with were all manner of anal toys, including textured dildos, vibrators, lubricants and strap-ons.
Ms Andelloux, whose role was to bestow her sexual expertise, said: “It’s important to focus on why people play, why they want to be touched, have orgasms, and explore fantasies.”
She added that when it comes to using sex toys, “if you feel like you had a good time and lost control of your body a little bit, that’s what matters”.
As well as explaining the items on display, she gave information about sexual play and talked about basic anatomy.
In a word of advice to those present, she said: “Fingers! You have ten sex toys with you all the time, and you can do tons of amazingly naughty things with your hands that we don’t give enough credit to.”
The evening’s entertainment was part of the Gapril celebrations being staged by QSA, which exists to improve the visibility, strength and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.
In its mission statement, it said it seeks to promote community awareness of and action on the social, cultural, educational and political issues surrounding the LGBT population.
