Best Fall Wedding Color Schemes

Fall is a wonderful time to have your wedding, especially if you live in an area with plenty of deciduous trees that turn beautiful colors to give you a spectacular natural backdrop! There is no other time of year when nature provides so much decoration on your behalf, but you still need to choose a dazzling color scheme for the rest of your wedding supplies and decorations. Here are some beautiful choices that you simply can’t go wrong by using.

Fall Wedding Color Schemes

Plum & Olive

Plum is a gorgeous color for fall, especially paired with olive for that grounded earthly tone. From lavender to paper flowers, there are endless possibilities when it comes to your decor. Your bridesmaid dresses can be accented with satin shoes in a plethora of colors or bouquet with just a hint of plum.

Chocolate & Cherry

To sweeten up fall foliage, a great color theme is to run with chocolate and cherry. You can even do sweet chocolate covered cherries for you reception. Think chocolate brown bridesmaid dresses with scarlet shoes, or a wedding cake topped in roses with chocolate leaves and initials embossed in chocolate lettering.

Magnolia, Mint & Gold

For a stunningly simple color theme with pure class and just a touch of color go with magnolia, mint, and gold. Small accents like a mint green bow tie for the groomsmen, or a gold glitter bolero jacket, mint or gold shoes–all make big statements amongst gorgeous magnolias. Don’t be afraid to play with candlelight for a golden glow at your ceremony and reception.

Go very Disney and think, “Colours of the wind” for this theme. From mustard, coral, marmalade, plum, purple, bright orange, sunshine, pale yellow and violet–the possibilities are endless.

To really accent the gold tones for your wedding theme, you could search online for a wedding sparklers store so you can hand them out to your guests to use during the ceremony or reception. Wedding sparklers always burn in the color gold, so it’s a great way to add it to your color palette and have it turn up easily in all of your photos. Most of the time, the only two options available will be either sparklers that are really short or ones that are really long, and I always opt for the long ones. If using wedding sparklers that are 36 inches long is just too much, you can always put them out sooner if need be; but you can never make shorter sparklers last longer.

Of course, fall foliage is a good way to go with sunset themed colors! Think more along the lines of apple, cinnamon and burnt orange and tans.

With Fall Sunset color themes you can go literal with apples and cinnamon-themed reception cocktails, or give apple butter as wedding favors. Also, roses come in a plethora of these fall colors so your flowers will be gorgeous! Mums can be a sweet budget friendly alternative to the rose and can be found in all of the sunset fall colors, as well.
