Small children have heaps of energy and at the pre-school age seem to be on the go non-stop up until the point where they simply fall asleep where they are and whatever they are doing. It can seem to parents that they will never keep up with the whirlwind that is a toddler and wish they could have some of that inexhaustible supply of energy.
Toddlers need stimulation and learning experiences and traditional toys can give them these. Traditional toys need the toddler to do something, to make up a story about the wooden toys such as the boys on a swing or in a pedal car, or to build a village or houses out of the wooden building blocks or even just a tower to be knocked down and rebuilt. Pull toys are another way of giving toddlers opportunities to run off some of their energy, as they can run around and watch their dog or horse following them.
It isn’t entirely about just keeping them busy though; wooden toys and traditional toys give toddlers and small children lots of opportunities to use and develop their imagination. Wooden toys are made of a natural material and as they do not do anything with batteries, children have to work out for themselves what they are going to do with their wooden toys. With a little bit of encouragement, small children will start to make up stories about the wooden toys that they are playing with. With a set of wooden figures, they can make up a whole town of people and make them go to work or do the shopping or go to school.
Here at My Natural Wooden Toys we have all sorts of wooden toys for children to play with which will stretch their imaginations and give them plenty of fun, while you get the chance to sit for five minutes.
