- Vishwanath temple
You will get to see temples everywhere in Varanasi, among which this is known to the popular one. This particular temple is in dedication to Lord Shiva- Vishveswara. This temple was established by AhalyaBai from Indore, in the year 1776. The gold platting of 800 kg around the dome and tower was contributed by Ranjit Singh who was a Maharaja/King of Lahore. The security around this temple is tight, and is most of the time surrounded by soldiers. There is also a well on the north side of this temple, and water from this well, is known to be holiest and spiritual, but people are not allowed to do so.
- Wildlife Sanctuary-Chandra Prabha
Chandra Prabha Sanctuary is situated 70 km away from Varanasi. But it is a great place to visit, and if you are in Varanasi, then spare a day or 2 to visit here. The main attractions of this wildlife sanctuary are the Raj Dari, and Deo Dari waterfalls. It is a great picnic spot along with dense forest and waterfalls.
- AssiGhat
This ghat is important as well, as this river gets along with the Ganges, and pilgrims or tourists visit here to worship the lingam of Lord Shiva, which is beneath the tree of Peepul. Evening time around this ghat is to be seen, the whole area is filled with entertainers and hawkers. During the time of sunrise, yoga and music takes place. You can also enjoy some boat rides here.
- Ramnagar Fort
This fort is situated near by the Ganges River, and TulsiGhat is opposite to it. it is like a sandstone building, which was built by Kashi Naresh, in Mughlai style, during 1750. You can get to watch a beautiful sunset from here. This fort is also a museum, where you can get to see vintage cars- American style, sedan chairs encrusted with jewel, and some great weaponry collection.
- Sarnath Museum
Sarnath, along with 3 other pilgrimages, is known to be one of the most important. This museum exhibits several Buddhist culture and art. You will get to see a huge collection of sculptures of Buddha.
