How Often Should You Change Your Bedsheets?

Bed sheets may be able to stay looking clean and fresh for weeks on end, but in reality, they can get dirty very quickly. Whilst they might not have stains or marks on them, body sweat, flakes of skin, body oils and hair will all collect over the bed very quickly and since many of these things won’t be instantly obvious to the naked eye, it is unlikely you will be aware just how dirty the bed is.

Not only is it therefore unsavoury to lie in such a dirty bed, but such things will also attract mites which themselves will leave their own waste products behind.

Once a week is probably about right for changing sheets and although this might sound a little much to many, it is the best way to keep your bed feeling fresh as well as to make sure it is as clean as possible. In turn, you are likely to be healthier and potentially even get better sleep too. Without regular sheet changes, you will no doubt be more prone to colds or see allergies playing up on a regular basis.

It can also be a hassle though, and the answer for most will be to buy extra cheap bedding. By doing so, you will not have to wash covers week in and week out but merely ensure that the covers and pillowcases are changed, waiting until you have more than one dirty set ready to go before you put on such a wash.

The more bedding you have, the more likely you will be to change covers as and when you should, without it seeming like a major hassle. Buying some of the attractive, cheap bedding UK companies have to offer can therefore not only improve the look of your house but also keep you healthier and make your life easier to boot.
