School stickers: a great way to keep parents up to date

Teachers and parents do not always find the time to discuss a pupil’s progress in detail. A structured reward system involving stickers, certificates and rubber stamps however can help communicate a pupil’s level of effort and entertainment, as well as acting as a classroom incentive.

It is only right of course that both pupils and their parents should have a clear idea of how far a curriculum has been completed and understood at every stage. Apart from the obvious fact that parents and pupils will both have an inherent interest in this information, it can also allow them to work together outside of school on areas that might need improving or developing further.

It is not always easy keeping abreast of a pupil’s progress, particularly if both parents are busy working during the week, or appointments cannot be made at a time when both the pupil and teacher are free. A customised reward system however can go a long way towards filling this information gap.

Modern publishing and manufacturing techniques enable high quality stickers, certificates and rubber stamps to be produced quickly and cost-effectively with a school’s own system of messages. These messages can relate to any aspect of the education process the school believes to be relevant: from classroom attainment through to effort in sports activities; or even simply for good attendance or good behaviour in the classroom.

The advantage of such physical reward tokens is that they do not have to be confined to a school book or school chart; a separate file or document containing stickers, stamps or certificates, can be kept by the pupil and taken home for the immediate attention of parents.

At Brainwaves we can demonstrate the many different ways in which schools and individual teachers have made us their favourite source for stickers, certificates and other motivational incentives.
