Kudremukha Trek: This trek starts from 14th July at 10.30 PM and ends on 16th July, 11 PM. This one is organized by the ‘Adventure Adda’. If anyone is interested to join this trek, then can reserve their seats by paying Rs 3350. Well, before going for this trek one has to have a basic idea of that place. Kudremukh is situated in the Chikmagalur district and it is indeed a biodiversity hotspot with full of grasslands and dense forests. This place also has a lot of perennial streams which forms rivers like Tungabhadra and Netravathy. This place receives around 7000 mm rainfall throughout the year and that is why; going to this place during monsoon is the most challenging one. But the natural beauty that you see is mesmerising. The most wonderful time to visit here is the month of June and July where the trekkers can challenge themselves. The total trekking distance here is 22 kilometres and the trek level is from moderate to difficult. It is definitely not for the beginner trekkers.
Kopatty Trek: This one starts from 21st July at 7 PM and ends on 23rd July at 4 PM. One has to book this trek with the amount of Rs 3099. This one takes you to the highest peak of the range as it stands tall with a height of 1375 meters in the Tala Cauvery Range. The place is located at a distance of 295 kilometres from Bangalore and the base from where the trek begins is the Kopatty village. One can get a feeling of being in Coorg while trekking here and this one is the most convenient trek during the weekends. People who can enroll for this trek should be between 18 to 45 years old and not more than that because it would be tiring for those who are more than 45 years of age.
Yana Cave Expedition with NPN-12: This is again a weekend trek program which starts from 4th August and ends on 6th August. Yana Cave is located outside Bangalore and the cost for this trek is Rs 3000. This is a nature lover’s spot and this trip is open to mostly all age groups. One can get to see unusual karst rock formations here and also have a scenic view of the Sahyadri mountain ranges in the Western Ghats. This one takes you away from the regular crowd of the city and helps one to relax. This trek includes meals, refreshments and resort stays. One has to carry their own belongings.
