Most people will probably admit to being a bit lazier in the winter months. It’s understandable really; the days are short, nights are long and most people would much rather be relaxing in front of a warm fire than doing things like housework or cleaning the car.

One of the first things to suffer from our laziness is our car. There aren’t many people with the dedication to go out in the cold and then modify or clean their car. Often there seems little point because if you spend a couple of hours cleaning your car then the chances are it will be dirty by the time you have driven it 100 metres down the road so we tend to wait until the weather is better.

The same is true with modifying. There seems no sense in having a re-spray, fitting a new exhaust, adding some graphics or putting on some new alloy wheels if they are going to be covered in dirt within 10 minutes. The summer months are really the time to modify. There is no better way to spend a warm summer’s night outside than modifying your pride and joy. If you have got car speakers, car accessories or even just some car mats to show off, then this is the time to do it.

For modifying enthusiasts, this is clearly the time to work on your car. The summer months give you a chance to take the time to modify and appreciate your car. Just make sure you get started as soon as the clocks go forward as those winter months will approach sooner than you think.
