The day you get married should be one of the best and happiest days of your life. However, that can seem more like stressful once you start planning the event. Remember, it’s supposed to be a celebration of you and your partner’s mutual love and your desire to be together for the rest of your lives.
The really fun part is the reception or party after all the vows have been said. The trouble is that before you get to that you have to deal with so many things. First of all there are the invitations. Not only do you have to make sure they’re all printed in plenty of time, you have to decide who gets one. Will you have separate invitations for the reception only?
Naturally you need to book the venue.
At least it is now far easier to have the ceremony and the reception in the same location. You may still wish to have a church wedding though and will need to think about transport for the bride. Perhaps the bride would like to arrive in a horse-drawn carriage or vintage motor car? After all, you only get married once.
There will also be the cake, flowers and maybe a visit from a hairdresser or make-up artist on the day.
When you do get around to planning the reception, you can just book a disco but if you want the party to be really memorable take a look at some of the brilliant wedding bands around. If you’re not sure how to start choosing one, you might consider going to a wedding entertainment agency, which can advise and supply recordings of the bands they recommend.
At Function Junction we have wedding bands from all over the country that can play in whatever style of music you prefer.
